Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Design Drafter for their Hodges, SC facility. This role will involve developing best-in-class products through design and validation processes. You'll work with engineering teams, providing expertise in Eaton’s Low Voltage Busway Products.

The Design Drafter position offers relocation assistance and a salary range of $69,000 to $101,000, based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in design and manufacturing processes.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Product Life-cycle management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical communications: datasheets, interface control documents, etc.
• Design, model, and test product prototypes.
• Work on cross-functional teams using Eaton PROLaunch.
• Apply knowledge of industry and certification standards.
• Represent the product line as a technical consultant.

Skills

Knowledge of Drafting standards (ASME Y14 Series)

Knowledge Design for Six Sigma

Validation testing experience

Familiarity with simulation analysis

Prior experience in engineering

Fabrication methods for sheet metal, plastic, copper, and aluminum

UL 857, IEEE C37.23, UL 98, UL 489 knowledge

Working knowledge of regulatory standards for US low voltage distribution equipment

Education

Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related
