Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Coordinator to support Product Development & Design in driving sample movement from concept to production.

You will coordinate samples, assist with meetings, and manage showroom presentations in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Based onsite in the San Francisco office, you will keep PLM data up to date, track samples across factories, warehouses and showrooms, and help with concept setup and color boards while maintaining organized spaces and

About The Team

You will be a part of a collaborative team responsible for driving and managing sample development from concept through to production, working together with Design, Technical Design, Merchants, and Sourcing team members. As part of Williams-Sonoma, Inc., a leader in home lifestyle and retail, our Product Development and Design team brings customer-centered, trend-forward products to life through seasonal collaboration, innovation, and cross-brand alignment.

About The Role

As a Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the Product Development & Design Team by coordinating the movement of samples, helping to facilitate meetings, and showroom presentations. Administrative responsibilities related to data entry, tracking samples, creating styles in our PLM system and updating information for the product development life cycle are a key part of the role. The role requires a can-do attitude and is a key player in facilitating and maintaining cross-functional operational processes.

This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
  • Help support weekly Product Development meetings by ensuring all samples are set up for review in a timely manner
  • Maintain updated Sample Request Reports. Ensure all samples are on track to arrive for milestone meetings and deadlines
  • Manage, track, and request all samples between factories, warehouse and showrooms
  • Proactively maintain organized sample spaces by keeping products stored in a manner that fosters a safe environment to conduct business
  • Assist the Merchant and Sourcing teams with their sample-related needs and photo sample check-out list.
  • Archive all development samples and maintain an accurate Archive lists
  • Communicate to design team incoming samples for weekly review.
  • The Administrative part of the role is equal to the sample management and includes: creating styles and updating information in our PLM system related to our product development life cycle. Keeping Excel spreadsheets up to date.
  • Communicating with overseas offices and vendors to give notes on product sampling, revisions and timelines.
  • Label each sample with barcode, and print barcodes when sample gets wrapped to leave building
  • Assist with concept set up which involves gathering, delivering and setting up samples in the showroom, creating presentation boards and color charts.

  • Professional communication style in interacting with colleagues, overseas offices and vendors.
  • Attention to detail, assertive, with strong organizational skills.
  • (A plus) PLM experience.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities over time.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel/Powerpoint.
  • (A plus) Photoshop and InDesign.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $25 - $29/hour. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets.
