Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve. At Floor & Decor, designers are responsible for meeting with customers, listening to project needs, educating them on requirements, and building a creative concept that reflects personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

This role requires at least 1 year of interior design or retail/sales experience, a degree in design is a plus, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, building clientele through networking, referrals, and store leads.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, designers, and builders for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accuracy and timely communication using company tools.
