Job summary

NV Energy in Nevada is seeking an Engineering Support professional to assist Utility Design Administrators with design work for new business and capital maintenance projects, ensuring all designs and material lists are accurate, workable, and compliant with the company's construction standards and specifications.

This role provides guidance to less experienced team members and coordinates with the Distribution Design Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1 year of related experience.
• Knowledge of utility design/construction principles in electric/gas utility.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and general office software.
• Ability to work safely around energized facilities and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and mentor the Distribution Design team.
• Review designs and material lists for accuracy before construction.
• Advise team leaders on unusual construction needs.
• Ensure job site readiness prior to construction.
• Assist with emergency restoration and dispatching activities.
