Job summary

NV Energy seeks a Design Administrator to perform design work for electric and gas projects, coordinate with internal teams, and maintain compliance with standards and regulations. You will develop cost estimates and contracts, and act as the central contact for customers and stakeholders.

The role requires a High School Diploma and at least five years of related experience, with strong analytical, planning and communication skills. Training and mentoring are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma and 5 years of related work experience.
• Specialized knowledge includes electric/gas design and regulatory requirements.
• Skills span analytical, planning, time management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design electric and/or gas service or system improvements.
• Create detailed utility designs, cost estimates and contracts.
• Coordinate with internal resources on master plans and ROW/easement acquisitions.
• Serve as main contact for developers, contractors, agencies from inception to completion.
• Prepare and present financial contracts to customers.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings with inspectors and managers.
• May support on-call rotation and storm/restoration efforts.
• Ensure compliance with policies, codes and regulations.
