NV Energy in Nevada is seeking an Engineering Support professional to assist Utility Design Administrators with design work for new business and capital maintenance projects, ensuring all designs and material lists are accurate, workable, and compliant with the company's construction standards and specifications.
This role provides guidance to less experienced team members and coordinates with the Distribution Design Team.
Provides Utility Design Administrators with engineering support for new business and capital maintenance design functions. Responsible for assisting Distribution Design Team and assisting the Design Trainer with practical field training to ensure all designs and material lists are accurate, workable and are in accordance with Company’s construction standards and specifications. Ensures job site readiness prior to construction. Works independently, with guidance in some situations and performs work on special projects and/or multi-disciplinary projects. Provides direction and technical assistance to less experienced team members. Additional roles include aiding the Regional Engineer with their job responsibilities as well as aiding Electric Operations in emergency restoration and dispatching activities.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school from an accredited school in engineering and 1 year experience.
PCs, AutoCAD, word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
General office environment with some field work. Must be able to work safety around energized facilities. Occasional travel required.
