Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Design & Construction Accounting Manager in Las Vegas to oversee day-to-day accounting for the Design & Construction department and provide technical guidance to the accounting team. The role coordinates with internal departments and external vendors to ensure accurate financial reporting, supports month-end close, and drives process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of progressive accounting experience.
• Previous experience serving as a technical lead, project lead, senior accountant, or similar role preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate work activities, prioritize assignments, and provide guidance and coaching to accounting staff.
• Previous experience with construction accounting, project accounting, or capital expenditure accounting preferred.
• Experience with Sage/ Timberline and Workday software desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day accounting activities supporting the Design & Construction department and assist in prioritizing departmental workload.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to team members, review accounting transactions, assist with resolving complex accounting issues, and support compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to support construction accounting activities, resolve accounting questions, and facilitate accurate financial reporting.
• Recommend and participate in process improvements, reporting enhancements, accounting system updates, and internal control initiatives to improve departmental efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management
