Qualifications

• Five or more years in accounting/finance in a similar role.
• Minimum of two years in a supervisory position.
• Proficient with Excel/Word/Outlook and 10-key.
• Ability to guide design and strategy for electronic tool usage to improve processes.
• Knowledge of state regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Initiative and continuous improvement mindset.
• Team player with a practical, solution-oriented approach.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• APS certification and ability to obtain/maintain required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Supervise accounts payable team and oversee performance.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, IRS 1099, and internal controls.
• Use performance metrics to manage and improve team performance.
• Prepare and file regulatory documents (sales/use tax, 1099).
• Assist with month-end closing and investigate variances.
• Develop and implement processes to gain efficiency and productivity.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to AP staff.
• Oversee time/attendance and scheduling; lead weekly huddles.
• Communicate problems to management promptly; maintain internal relationships.
• Foster collaboration between departments and operating properties.
• Observe safety procedures; perform other duties as needed.
