Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Supervisor to train and develop the design team and to drive sales through design services. You will ensure customers have a positive sales experience with exceptional service and guidance across tile, wood, stone, and related accessories.

The role requires leadership experience, interior design knowledge, and proficiency with design tools and software. This position emphasizes collaboration with store leadership and a focus on customer satisfaction and sales

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years interior design experience in lieu of design education.
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers.
• Hire and develop a dynamic design team, including performance evaluations.
• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide advice on tile, wood, stone and accessories for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional design solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with timely communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives by modeling best practices.
