Job summary

TMG Construction Corp. seeks a Design-Build Assistant Project Manager to lead small design-build projects or support multiple smaller projects, collaborating with design professionals, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.

Projects may use Design-Build, IDIQ, Lump Sum, or Fast Track methods. The role requires knowledge of construction means and methods, design coordination, and the ability to travel to various jobsites within a designated area, with strong analytic and communication

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management with 2-3 years of experience in commercial/industrial general contracting or design firms.
• Demonstrated experience estimating and managing self-performed and subcontracted work.
• Basic to good understanding of construction means and methods for renovation of commercial and institutional buildings and site work.
• Understanding of producing design drawings and specifications, client review, and technical evaluation.
• Solid proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and other construction industry software.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain project controls tracking status, changes, RFIs, submittals, quality controls, safety, financial performance and close-out.
• Review and process shop drawings and submittals with subject matter experts to document the design-build process.
• Manage or support change management: logs, pricing, estimates, proposals, change orders.
• Coordinate conceptual design with design professionals and perform quantity surveys using digitizers, 3D modeling software, and paper-based processes.
• Establish and monitor project schedules using contemporary scheduling software.
