Job summary

TMG Construction seeks a Design-Build Assistant Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute commercial/institutional design-builds from preconstruction to closeout. You will manage small projects independently or assist larger ones, collaborating with designers, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.

This role requires knowledge of design coordination, construction means and methods, and the ability to travel to various jobsites within the regional area.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of design drawings and specs to contribute to scope alignment and cost efficiency.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with management, design professionals, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze design drawings and specifications for project execution.
• Willingness and ability to travel to different jobsites within a designated area.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain project controls tracking status, changes, RFIs, submittals, quality and safety metrics.
• Coordinate shop drawings and submittals with design professionals and vendors.
• Support change management through logs, pricing, estimates, and change orders.
• Coordinate estimating by aligning conceptual designs with professionals and performing quantity surveys using digital tools.
• Develop and monitor project schedules using contemporary scheduling software.
