Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. in Charleston, SC is seeking a Construction Design/Build Project Manager to own the full lifecycle of projects from concept through final walkthrough.

You will lead estimating, scheduling, design coordination, cost tracking, and subcontractor buyout while collaborating with clients and design teams to shape compelling, buildable concepts. Expect on-site coordination and value-driven decisions that ensure quality and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergrad/grad program.
• Interest in the design/build process, tilt-up concrete, industrial builds.
• Previous construction experience preferred but not required.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred but not required.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lead project facets from start to finish including estimating, scheduling, quality control, billing, design coordination, cost tracking, safety and proposal development.
• Deliver detailed, reliable project estimates.
• Collaborate with clients and design teams to shape preliminary concepts into buildable solutions.
• Participate in proposal meetings to refine scope, reduce costs, and provide value-driven engineering insights.
• Lead subcontractor selection and buyout with cost-effective partnerships.
• Facilitate bi-weekly site meetings to align teams and monitor progress.
• Coordinate multiple moving parts to keep scope, schedule and budget aligned.
• Monitor processes to uphold high-quality standards and continuous improvement.
• Transform client feedback into outcomes that meet and exceed expectations.
• Lead with integrity and deliver with purpose to ensure client satisfaction.
