  • Strong understanding of contracts, scheduling, project controls, and financial management.
  • MnDOT experience is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design-build and heavy civil transportation projects from preconstruction through final completion.
  • Take ownership of project cost, schedule, quality, safety, and profitability.
  • Coordinate design development between owners, engineers, designers, subcontractors, and construction teams.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, and procurement.
  • Work closely with field leadership to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, design revisions, and contract requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with DOT representatives, owners, engineers, and project partners.
  • Monitor project financials, forecasting, billing, and cost control.
  • Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate progress to senior leadership.
  • Support estimating, pursuit strategy, and preconstruction efforts for future design-build opportunities.

Design-Build Project Manager - Minneapolis, MN - Heavy Civil Construction

Metric Geo is partnering with an established heavy civil and transportation contractor in Minnesota to identify an experienced Design-Build Project Manager to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with experience delivering design-build, alternative delivery, DOT, highway, bridge, or major transportation projects who wants to take ownership of complex projects from preconstruction through completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage design-build and heavy civil transportation projects from preconstruction through final completion
  • Take ownership of project cost, schedule, quality, safety, and profitability
  • Coordinate design development between owners, engineers, designers, subcontractors, and construction teams
