Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking a Design Manager to lead the design development for transportation design-build projects in Indiana, Ohio, Florida, and Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams (roadway, structures, drainage, traffic, utilities, environmental).
  • Support pursuit strategies and proposal development for new design-build opportunities.
  • Monitor budgets, design scope, and change management throughout the project.
  • Ensure compliance with agency standards and project requirements.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative project culture.

Title: Design Manager

Location: Indiana, Ohio, Florida, Texas

We are looking for a Design Manager who will be the primary point of contact for the design portion of design-build transportation projects. This role is responsible for managing the design process from procurement through final design, coordinating between internal technical teams, contractors, and clients. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, technical design experience, and a deep understanding of the design-build delivery model.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering, with at least 4 years in a design management or lead design role.
  • Proven experience managing design for design-build or alternative delivery projects.
  • Strong understanding of DOT standards and permitting processes.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
