Job summary

STV Incorporated in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Design Build Project Manager to oversee complex building design projects from prelim design to construction completion. You will manage budgets, schedules, QA/QC, coordination among internal teams and external consultants, and staff mentorship.

Role requires a CA-licensed PE or Registered Architect with 15+ years in design, including leading Design Build efforts, and proficiency with BIM, CAD, and Bluebeam. Public sector experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (any discipline) or Architecture.
• Active California-licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect.
• 15+ years in design, including leading projects from conceptual design through construction within the past 10 years.
• Proven track record of managing Design Build projects with $5MM in fee+.
• Working knowledge of industry standard digital delivery tools like BIM, CAD, Bluebeam etc
• Experience within transportation, civic or public sector projects required.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from contract negotiation through final design, construction documentation, and construction support.
• Coordinate internal interdisciplinary teams (architectural, MEP, structural) and external consultants.
• Maintain budget, schedule, scope, and quality oversight for projects.
• Support public outreach and act as liaison with agencies, municipalities, and utilities.
• Oversee shop drawing reviews, construction schedule monitoring, and change order plan development.
• Assist in business development, RFP responses, and cultivating client relationships.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to studio leadership.
