Job summary

STV is seeking Licensed Architects for its Buildings practice in Los Angeles, CA and San Francisco, CA. You will lead design, technical development, and coordination across disciplines, delivering construction documents for institutional, transportation, and civic projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, CA licensure, and strong BIM skills (Revit/Rhino) with proficiency in Enscape, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite. Leadership and client coordination are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• California licensure required.
• Demonstrated strength of technical knowledge & design sensibility.
• Proficient with 3D modeling & BIM tools (Revit/Rhino) and industry software such as Enscape, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, and MS Office.
• Experience developing CD sets and coordinating consultants.
• Leadership and team management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of one or more projects.
• Develop design to meet functional program, budget, environmental, and legal requirements.
• Manage projects with consultants, engineers, and staff to ensure timely completion.
• Develop design layouts and specifications; support across all stages.
• Lead scheduling, scope definition, budgeting, staffing, and construction administration; manage changes.
• Apply architectural knowledge; prepare studies, reports, and technical drawings; present findings.
• Lead and supervise internal design teams through the design process.
• Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and design intent; follow QA/QC processes.
• Support client coordination and business development activities.
