Job summary

ACCO Engineered Systems is seeking a Project Engineer to collaborate with a dedicated Project Manager, reporting to the Sales Manager, and coordinate the technical aspects of assigned projects. This role emphasizes BIM coordination, takeoffs, and bid estimates within a design-build process.

You will draft essential documents, manage meetings, and support procurement, scheduling, and closeout activities while maintaining budget integrity and client communications. Travel 0-10% is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project administration.
• Experience progression from Project Engineer I to higher levels based on performance and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Draft and manage critical project documentation (proposals, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, shop drawings).
• Organize internal/external project meetings including BIM coordination and scheduling reviews.
• Perform material takeoffs, obtain vendor/subcontractor quotes, and assemble bid estimates."
• Monitor onsite progress from plans/specifications; enforce quality controls and resolve installation challenges.
• Lead vendor/subcontractor buyouts, procurement tracking, and delivery of purchases.
• Track installations, forecast labor, review invoices, and maintain budget integrity.
• Lead project closeout with O&Ms, commissioning docs, and warranty processing.
• Collaborate with Project Management on budget/timeline impacts and solutions.
