Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Columbus, OH is seeking a Construction Design/Build Project Manager to lead projects from concept to close. You’ll work closely with clients and design teams to shape preliminary concepts into buildable solutions and manage estimating, scheduling, cost tracking, and quality control.

You will guide subcontractor selection, drive on-site bi-weekly meetings, and make decisive choices to keep projects on time and within budget, while championing quality and continuous

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Lead every facet of the project from start to finish, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, billing, design coordination, cost tracking, safety, and proposal development
• Deliver accurate, detailed project estimates to lay the foundation for successful execution
• Collaborate with clients and design teams to shape preliminary concepts into buildable solutions
• Participate in proposal meetings, refine scope, reduce costs, and provide value-driven engineering insights
• Lead subcontractor selection and buyout with focus on cost effectiveness and talent
• Drive on-site communication through bi-weekly site meetings and alignment across teams
• Make confident decisions under pressure to keep projects on time and budget
• Coordinate multiple moving parts to ensure scope, schedule, and budget stay aligned
• Champion quality and continuous improvement by monitoring and refining processes
• Turn client feedback into actionable results that exceed expectations
