The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional partners, help prepare materials for client meetings, and provide general administrative support to ensure projects stay on schedule. Strong CAD skills and a background in fashion design are advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Foundational Interior Design and Graphic Design skills, with an eye for aesthetics, color, and visual storytelling relevant to apparel and branding.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and related design software to create technical drawings and visual assets.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Basic knowledge of apparel design, textiles, and garment construction; education in Fashion Design or related field is beneficial.
  • Competency in common office tools (Microsoft Office or Google Workspace) and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support design team in developing apparel concepts and organizing design assets for seasonal collections.
  • Assist with CAD drawings and graphic layouts, update design boards and line sheets.
  • Coordinate samples and maintain organized digital and physical files.
  • Collaborate with production and customer service teams; prepare materials for presentations and client meetings.

Role Description

The Design Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role supports the design team in developing apparel concepts, preparing technical sketches, and organizing design assets for seasonal collections. Daily tasks include assisting with CAD drawings and graphic layouts, updating design boards and line sheets, coordinating samples, and maintaining organized digital and physical files.

The Design Assistant will collaborate with cross-functional partners such as production and customer service teams, help prepare materials for presentations and client meetings, and provide general administrative support to ensure projects move forward on schedule.
