This role involves providing direct support, teaching essential life skills, and promoting positive behaviors in a supportive environment.

Duties

• Provide individualized support to clients in developing daily living skills and achieving personal goals.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Facilitate social interactions and community involvement to enhance social skills and independence.
• Utilize effective communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and team members.
• Drive clients to appointments or community activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in home & community care or caregiving is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and families.
• Ability to manage behavior effectively while promoting a positive environment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for transportation duties.
