Job summary

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Part-Time General Surgeon in Des Moines, IA. Join a network delivering bedside wound care with modern modalities and advanced training. Role features autonomy, a typical 45-hour work week for full-time equivalents, and no nights, no call, and no weekends.

The position emphasizes weekly rounds, facility-based visits within a 40–60 mile radius, and paid onboarding plus a 6-month fellowship in wound care. Licensure in the practicing state is required.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in the post-acute care setting: SNFs and LTACHs.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location.
• Treat approximately 20–30 patients per day.
• Documentation is performed at point of care during rounds in the proprietary EMR.
