Job summary

National Wound Physician Group in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Physician to join a national network of wound specialists. Work hours are Monday-Friday with no nights or weekend duties, focusing on bedside wound management in post-acute care settings.

The role covers a mobility footprint across facilities within a 40–60 mile radius, delivering care to 20-30 patients daily, with on-site rounds and real-time documentation.

Responsibilities

• Full/part-time position with no call and no weekend duties.
• Deliver bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities & LTAC Hospitals).
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at facilities.
• Mobile practice visiting facilities within a 40–60 mile radius.
• See approximately 20–30 patients per day.
• Real-time documentation at point of care.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.

Practice Overview

• Full time work: Monday - Friday (7am-4pm) or part time available.
• No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities.
• Physicians deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.
• Our physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Part-time role is a minimum of 3 days per week. Full time role is 4 - 5 days per week.
• This is a mobile practice: The physicians visit facilities in a 40 – 60 mile radius of practice location.
• Our physicians visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
• Clinical documentation is at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using our proprietary wound specific EMR.
• Paid Training is provided during onboarding + 6 months wound care fellowship
• W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship is available)
