Job summary

Patterson-UTI is seeking a Derrickhand to manage mud systems on drilling rigs. Responsibilities include measuring mud weight and viscosity, maintaining equipment, and overseeing Floorhands. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication and mechanical skills, along with the ability to work at heights and in various outdoor conditions.

An ideal candidate has prior experience as a Derrickhand, is comfortable with the physical demands of the job, and is willing to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days on and 14 days off. Forklift certification is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience as a Derrickhand on a drilling rig.
• 12 months of stable related work history.
• Comfortable working at heights (50ft. or greater).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mud systems including measuring, mixing, and maintaining equipment.
• Supervise and work closely with Floorhands and Motorhand.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and ensure safety protocols.
