Job summary

Ranger Energy Services is seeking a Derrick Hand to monitor daily rig operations, assist in rigging and pipe handling, and ensure safety procedures on site. The role involves supporting rig crew during lifting, tubing movement, and equipment maintenance.

The position requires familiarity with pump and tank operations, basic inspection tasks, and the ability to work a flexible schedule in a hands-on environment. CDL or ability to obtain one is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of experience working on a well servicing rig preferred.
• Must be familiar with pump and tank operations.
• Must have a valid state issued driver’s license, CDL, or the ability to obtain one.
• Must be able to successfully perform the duties of a floor hand.
• Ability to perform manual labor required to operate well servicing equipment.
• Ability to show knowledge of running tongs and all other equipment.
• Competent communication skills.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain procedures of daily operations of the well servicing rig.
• Assist in rigging up and down, lifting and laying down tubing, and operating the rig when necessary.
• Perform inspections of fall arrest systems, harnesses, derrick and hoisting components.
• Assist in racking of rod and tubing, pipe handling, and BOP-related tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work site and report hazards promptly.
• Participate in safety meetings, JSA, and tailgate discussions.
