Job summary

Ranger Energy Services is seeking a Derrick Hand to monitor and assist with daily operations on the well servicing rig. Responsibilities include rigging up and down, pipe handling, and operating rig components as needed to support safe and efficient operations.

The position requires performing regular inspections of safety systems, collaborating with the Rig Operator, and maintaining equipment and workspace in good condition.

Qualifications

• Experience on a well servicing rig is preferred.
• Familiarity with pump and tank operations.
• Must have valid driver’s license or CDL.
• Ability to perform manual labor on rig operations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Performs fall arrest system, harness, derrick, and hoisting component inspections as required.
• Operate and assist with the Geronimo rig equipment.
• Assist in rigging up and down, pipe handling, and lifting activities.
• Keep work site, equipment, and tools clean and in good working order.
• Participate in safety meetings (JSA and tail gate) as scheduled.
• Daily communication with Rig Operator on site operations and maintenance.
• Assist in daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Trains and mentors floor hand on day to day operations.
• Report unsafe conditions and stop work if required.
• Other duties as assigned.
