Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners operates a network of dermatology clinics delivering general, cosmetic, medical, and cancer screening services. The position supports routine tests used in diagnosis, performing gross examination of tissue specimens and same-day processing while maintaining compliance with lab regulations and confidentiality.

The role requires ASC certification maintenance and a strong emphasis on accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and standard diagnostic laboratory protocols.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in dermatopathology lab preferred; ASCP certification maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examination of tissue specimens following lab protocol and deadlines.
• Finish grossing of tissue specimens received the same day.
• Prepare slide prep specimens for microscopic evaluation the same day of receipt.
• Maintain OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance in all duties.
• Organize, file, and locate slides, reports, and inventories and update manuals as needed.
• Communicate professionally with physicians, staff, and patients; handle lab inquiries.
