Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required or achievable.
• Computer experience and familiarity with clinical equipment needed.
• Basic Medical/Nursing terminology essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care under supervision in Dermatology and related areas.
• Demonstrate medical terminology to assist in documentation during visits.
• May scribe for physicians for history, physicals, and instructions.
• Administer injectables and assist with procedures; maintain sterile field.
• Manage patch testing, pathology logs, and related patient education.
