Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, in Houston, hiring Dermatology Technician I–III to support patient care under licensed clinicians across dermatology and related services. Roles at levels I–III provide increasing responsibilities and opportunities for growth in a nationally recognized health system.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, Medical Assistant training, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school.
• BLS from American Heart Association.
• No experience required with Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant OR 1 year of directly related experience as a Medical Assistant with NO Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.
• Proven ability to use equipment and related supplies for the patient population.
• Proven basic Medical/Nursing terminology.

Responsabilités

• Provide supportive patient care under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Assist with documentation and medical terminology during Dermatology visits and procedures.
• Assist physicians with history, physical, and patient instructions; may scribe.
• May administer injectables and assist with phototherapy, excimer laser treatments, and other procedures; maintain sterile field and manage pathology log.
