Job summary

DermCare Management is seeking a Surgical Technician (Scrub Tech) / Medical Assistant to support the Hillcrest Dermatology and Plastic Surgery team. The role involves assisting during consultations, preparing rooms, and supporting in-office procedures including cosmetic services.

Ideal candidates have BLS/CPR, knowledge of surgical instruments, and at least 1 year in plastic surgery settings. The position is office-based with opportunities to grow across dermatology specialties.

Qualifications

• BLS and CPR certification required.
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant, recent experience in plastic surgery (hospital setting preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review consents and update as needed with care team.
• Escort patients, take history and accompany physician during consultations.
• Triage calls and coordinate follow-ups; document in NexTech.
• Log and file photos in patient charts.
• Assist with in-office procedures; sterilize instruments and set up rooms.
• Stock rooms and maintain supplies; ensure biohazard waste handling.
• Prepare rooms for cosmetic services (Botox, fillers, lasers).
• Monitor and position patients during surgery; provide pre/post-op support.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and manage records.
