DOCS Dermatology Group seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision. The role is integral to the healthcare team, assisting in patient care management and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, prior medical office experience, knowledge of HIPAA, and strong communication skills to support physicians and patients throughout appointments and treatments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and medical history during visits.
• Enter history and visit details into the EHR system.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for assessments.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Phone in prescriptions to pharmacies and schedule procedures.
• Collect, log and package lab specimens for transport.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain stock levels.
• Complete phone triage and relay test results to patients.
• Administer medications as ordered and perform basic nursing tasks.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and hygiene standards.
