Job summary

Core Dermatology is seeking an experienced Patient Services Specialist to join our team. This full-time, on-site role delivers exceptional front-desk service, scheduling, payments, and insurance verifications to ensure a positive patient experience.

The ideal candidate will greet patients, collect demographic and financial information, handle sign-offs for documents, and maintain HIPAA compliance while supporting clinicians and staff across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical office and/or hospital experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Previous experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR’s).
• Ability to deal with patients, clinical and medical staff, and the public in a professional manner.
• Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information.
• Organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Posses’ excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients and visitors.
• Schedule appointments across providers.
• Obtain accurate demographic and financial information.
• Explain and obtain signatures for documents.
• Electronically verify patients’ insurance coverage.
• Collect patient payments and post payments.
• Enter daily billing information after appointments.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient comfort.
