Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to join the US Medical team. This field-based role focuses on external engagement with KOLs and HCPs, translating scientific data into actionable insights to advance medical strategy and patient outcomes.

You will travel up to 70% across multiple states, work with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliant, timely documentation and communication. A doctoral or health sciences degree and 2+ years MSL experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree preferred (PharmD, MD, PhD) or Master's in health sciences is the minimum requirement
• 2+ years of MSL experience within healthcare or related field after degree
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills are required

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities to comprise ~80% of responsibilities
• Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas and products; translate complex data to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant, fair-balanced manner
• Support Takeda-sponsored research and assist with investigator-initiated studies
• Collect, interpret, and communicate medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to inform medical strategies
• Identify partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical
• Participate in medical strategy at conferences and disseminate insights
• Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries within defined timelines
• Complete CRM entries, insights capture, training, expenses, and other admin duties
