Job summary

MaineHealth's Maine Medical Center is seeking a Dermatology Mohs Technician to support intraoperative tissue preparation and frozen section analysis, ensuring accurate surgical margin assessment and high-quality patient care.

The position requires an associate degree in science or medical technology (preferred), certs such as ASCP/ASMH or equivalent (preferred) and a current BLS certification (or obtained within 1 month).

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Science or Medical Technology preferred.
• Laboratory Technician Certification (ASCP/ASMH or equivalent) preferred or achieved within 1 year. For Medical Assistants, AAMA/NHA/AMT/NCCT certification preferred or achieved within 1 year.
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 1 month of start date.
• Medical laboratory or tissue processing experience preferred; Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Associate's degree in Science or Medical Technology or higher preferred
2. License/Certifications: Laboratory Technician Certification (ASCP, ASMH, or equivalent) preferred or achieved within one year of employment. For Medical Assistants, current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within one year of employment. Current BLS certificationrequiredor mustobtainwithin one month of start date.

The pay range for this position is $27.27to $36.88 per hour.
