DMSI in Bloomington, IL seeks a Mohs Medical Assistant/Surgical Technician to deliver patient-centered Mohs surgery support. You will conduct pre-operative assessments, educate patients and families, and assist with procedures while maintaining meticulous EMR records.

Responsibilities include sterile technique, autoclave operation, post-operative instructions, and coordinating patient flow to ensure safety and high-quality care consistent with clinic protocols.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical assistant or surgical technician; dermatology experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Expertise in the use of surgical instruments and maintaining sterile environments.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct initial assessments and review health survey data to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative education to patients and families.
• Prepare the surgical area by organizing instruments, equipment, and anesthesia.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures, including scrubbing in and handing instruments.
• Maintain a sterile operative field and ensure a clean, organized environment.
