Job summary

UW Health Dermatology and Mohs Surgery is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to assist dermatology teams with procedures including biopsies, excisions, and wound care. The role involves facilitating phototherapy, photodynamic therapy, or laser treatments, and delivering compassionate, patient-family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant program completion required
• LPN licensure required or obtained upon hire
• Completion of UWH MA Apprenticeship or Employee Partner MA Program or CCMA certification
• CCMA certification obtained as UWH employee or CMA/RMA/CCMA certified
• Acceptance into UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated or similar pathway
• One year MA experience with CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist dermatology and Mohs procedures with hands-on support
• Facilitate phototherapy, photodynamic therapy or laser procedures
• Provide patient-centered, compassionate care and education
• Support healthy lifestyles and wellness initiatives

Education

Completion of an accredited medical assistant program

Licensure as an LPN

MA Apprenticeship or Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program

CCMA certification as a UWH employee

UWH MA Apprenticeship Accelerated program

One year MA experience with CMA/RMA/CCMA certification
