Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology PLLC in New York is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant - Mohs for the Rykowski Lane Office. The MA will assist in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures, manage patient flow, and document treatments and prescriptions in our EMR system.

The role requires dermatology and healthcare experience, and familiarity with EMR and Microsoft Office. Flexible weekday availability and some weekend coverage are needed.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience required.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Strong communication and patient services skills.
• Open availability to work weekdays and weekends.
• Experience with EMR and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures and procedures.
• Prepare rooms and ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions to patients.
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.
