Job summary

Golden State Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology providers in a busy clinic. You will prepare exam rooms, review patient histories, and assist with surgical procedures including Mohs surgery and cosmetic treatments.

The role involves multitasking, scheduling, front-d desk support, and maintaining accurate pathology and EMA records. Prior dermatology or healthcare experience is helpful, and the team offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset with patient-centered approach.
• Experience in healthcare or aesthetics is helpful but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with EMA or other EMR software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparing exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
• Reviewing patient history, visit reason, medications, and patient understanding of procedures.
• Assisting dermatology providers during surgical procedures such as excisions and Mohs surgery.
• Scheduling tests and treatments, answering phones, and supporting front desk as needed.
• Maintaining pathology logs, biopsy records, and processing prescription refills.
