Job summary

Advanced Dermatology in Aurora, CO is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Scribe to support dermatology procedures and patient visits. The role is hourly with a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday and some Saturdays, reporting to clinic managers in Aurora and Centennial.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED, MA/CNA preferred, and at least one year of patient care experience. Proficiency in EMR, iPad, and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• MA Diploma or CNA preferred.
• At least one year of patient care experience in medical setting preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in biology or life sciences will be considered.
• Must be proficient with verbal and written communication.
• Must be reliable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and flexibility.
• Experience with EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for clinic day and set up exam rooms, iPads, laptops, and LN2.
• Create visit notes, ascertain chief complaints, review systems, and input history.
• Enter MIPS data (smoking, vaccines, etc.).
• Review and enter PHS forms for all patients.
• Assist with tests, biopsies/surgeries, injections, and meds preparation.
• Document in proper log books and maintain accuracy.
• Perform wound checks and suture removals; create notes for documentation.
• Complete iPledge paperwork and register patients.
• Communicate continuation of care with patients as directed by doctors.
• Complete letter log for referring physicians and note biopsy events.
• Maintain supplies and restock as needed; clean and sterilize instruments.
• Schedule patient appointments; document all visit aspects as directed by doctor.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
