ADVANCED DERMATOLOGY SKIN CANCER & LASER SURGERY CENTER P.C. in Colorado is seeking a reliable Medical Assistant/Scribe to support daily clinic operations.

The role includes room preparation, note taking, MIPS data entry, and assisting with biopsies and injections, while maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (MA or CNA preferred), 1+ year patient care experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certified Nursing Assistant diploma preferred.
• At least one year of patient care experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Bachelor of science or biology will be considered.
• Must be proficient with verbal and written communication.
• Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for clinic day (exam rooms, iPads, laptops, LN2).
• Create visit note, ascertain chief complaints, review systems and histories, input changes.
• Enter MIPS data: smoking/pneumonia vaccine/advance care plan/flu vaccine/melanoma patients.
• Review and enter PHS forms for all patients.
• Perform tests, set up and assist with biopsies/surgeries, draw meds, and injections.
• Document in log books for biopsies and testing; maintain accuracy.
• Print and maintain wound checks, suture removals, and notes for documentation.
• Complete iPledge paperwork and register patients in iPledge; attach docs.
• Communicate continuation of care with patients as directed by doctors.
• Complete letter log for patients with referring physicians and biopsy notes.
• Maintain clinic supplies; clean, sterilize instruments; laundry.
• Restock and clean exam rooms and lab station as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments as necessary.
• Scribe duties: document all aspects of the patient visit as directed by the doctor.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
