Job summary

Dermatology, Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to join our team. Primary duties include EMR data entry, escorting patients to exam rooms, assisting with procedures, documenting histories, answering calls, and coordinating tests and treatments.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred but training provided.
• Must be a team player with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication abilities and willingness to assist in all clinical ops.
• Ability to travel to other locations outside Indianapolis region.

Responsibilities

• Enter visit information into EMR and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures and surgeries.
• Record and document patient history and test results in charts.
• Answer calls, voicemails, and patient clinical questions; counsel patients as needed.
• Explain procedures, laboratory results, and treatment options to patients.
• Initiate prior authorizations and schedule appointments and urgent visits.
