DOCS Dermatology Group in Indiana is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical staff and patient care across our dermatology centers. The role involves preparing exam rooms, entering medical history into the EHR, and assisting physicians during visits.

You will handle scribing, patient education, medication administration, sample collection, and coordinating procedures while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Travel to some offices may be required.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a medical office.
• Ability to learn center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and service standards.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding (preferred).
• Familiarity with ModMed EMA EMR (preferred).
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA.
• Some offices within the Docs Dermatology Group network may require travel.
• Team player.

Aufgaben

• Verify patient information and medical history during visits.
• Enter medical history and visit data into the EHR.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Assists physician during examinations and procedures.
• Phone in prescriptions to pharmacies and coordinate with labs.
• Schedule medical procedures and follow up on results.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Provide patient education and scribe office visits as needed.
• Administer medications as ordered and assist with phlebotomy.
• Utmost respect for HIPAA and safety standards.
