Job summary

Dermatology Medical Partners in Florida is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support providers in patient care management, procedures, and administrative duties.

You will collect histories and vital signs, educate patients on medications and skincare, schedule appointments in the EMR, verify insurance, and assist in dermatology procedures with empathy and professionalism.

This role requires strong organization, teamwork, and a patient-first approach in a fast-paced dermatology clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Pursuit or completion of MA Certification preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in a medical office.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or willingness to learn.
• Experience with patient charting including notes, diagnoses, and instructions.
• Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dermatologists in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Collect and record patient medical history and vital signs.
• Educate patients on prescribed medications, skincare routines, and post-treatment care.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems.
• Handle insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and billing support.
• Prepare and assist in dermatological procedures, surgeries, and minor interventions.
• Ensure sterilization and maintenance of instruments and equipment.
• Communicate treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and test results to patients.
• Respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
