Golden State Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant to partner with providers and guide patients through treatments in Albany, CA. The role emphasizes high-quality patient care and accurate record-keeping in EMA.

Responsibilities include exam room prep, reviewing patient histories, scheduling, and assisting during dermatology procedures, while maintaining clean work areas and supporting front desk tasks. Prior dermatology experience and EMR proficiency are valued.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset or strong patient interaction skills.
• Experience in Dermatology, healthcare, or aesthetics is helpful.
• Knowledge of insurance carriers (Medicare, commercial, HMO) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with EMA/EClinicalWorks or other EMR software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies; keep rooms clean and stocked.
• Review patient history, visit reason, medications, and notes in EMA.
• Ensure MIPS information is accurately completed in the medical record.
• Assist with scheduling tests and treatments for patients.
• Assist dermatology providers during surgical procedures (excisions, Mohs, cosmetic procedures).
• Support front desk tasks like answering phones, scheduling, and reception triage.
