Job summary

Carolina Mountain Dermatology in Arden, NC seeks a Dermatology Medical Assistant to support providers, manage exam rooms, and assist with dermatology procedures. Responsibilities include recording vitals, preparing instruments, and handling basic lab tasks to ensure efficient patient flow.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or MA cert, dermatology terminology knowledge, strong communication, and solid organization in a fast-paced setting. Experience with EHR systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is desirable.
• Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
• Strong verbal and written communication to engage with patients and staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with EHR and basic office applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimens for analysis.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and office communications.
• Educate patients about treatments, medications, and skincare.
• Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and stocked.
