Western Piedmont Dermatology in Morganton, NC, is seeking a Dermatology Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering compassionate skin care and an exceptional patient experience.

You will prepare patients, assist during exams, manage records, coordinate schedules, educate patients on treatments, and maintain a clean, stocked exam room; prior MA or clinical experience and dermatology terminology understanding preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Prior MA or clinical experience is desirable.
• Understanding of dermatology terminology.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with EHR and basic office software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimens for analysis.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and office communications.
• Educate patients about treatments, medications, and skincare.
• Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and stocked.
