Western Piedmont Dermatology in Morganton, NC seeks a Dermatology Medical Assistant to support providers, prepare rooms, and manage patient flow. The role emphasizes accurate vital signs, documentation, and compassionate patient interaction within a dermatology setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (MA certification preferred), experience in clinical environments, and strong communication skills to protect patient confidentiality and ensure efficient practice operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Prior clinical or MA experience is highly desirable.
• Understanding of dermatology terminology and patient confidentiality required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms.
• Conduct basic lab tests and handle specimens for analysis.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and schedule coordination.
• Educate patients on treatments, medications, and skincare.
• Keep examination rooms clean, organized and stocked.
