Qualderm Partners in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Dermatology Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering outstanding patient care. You will help with exams, prepare rooms and instruments, perform basic lab tasks, and maintain patient records.

The role emphasizes patient education, scheduling coordination, and confidentiality in a fast-paced dermatology practice. Prior MA experience and EHR skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and staff.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
• Assisting providers during examinations and procedures.
• Preparing instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms.
• Conducting basic laboratory tests and handling specimens for analysis.
• Maintaining accurate, confidential patient records.
• Coordinating patient scheduling and office communications.
• Educating patients about treatments, medications, and appropriate skincare.
• Keeping examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked.
