Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, update histories, document visit details and assist with dermatology procedures.
• Prepare and assist with dermatological and cosmetic procedures including biopsies, sutures, and laser treatments.
• Administer local anesthesia and remove sutures as directed.
• Process prescription refills and manage prior authorizations.
• Log pathology samples and coordinate with laboratories.
• Operate dermatology equipment such as UVB and photodynamic therapy units.
• Maintain infection control and sterile technique in exam rooms.
• Scribe templates and chart notes as directed by physicians.
