Zusammenfassung

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology and/or plastic surgery clinicians. You will greet and room patients, document vital signs, review medications for e-prescribing, and assist with minor in-office procedures.

State registration may apply; EMT/CNA/Surgical Tech credentials are noted. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and confidentiality in a fast-paced clinical setting at our Fairhope location.

Qualifikationen

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office or similar clinical setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain Certified Dermatology Technician (CDT) designation within the established timeframe.
• Maintains all required state certifications, licenses, and/or registrations as a condition of employment.
• Willingness and ability to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, computer, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, patients, and the public.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and function effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to support operational efficiency.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with applicable privacy regulations.

Aufgaben

• Clean and stock exam rooms, ensuring necessary supplies and instruments are ready.
• Greet and room patients, collect and document vital signs, patient history, and reason for visit.
• Review medication list and ensure a preferred pharmacy is captured to support e-prescribing workflow.
• Complete MIPS documentation requirements.
• Assist with scribing and body area documentation in order to produce preliminary encounter visit notes.
• Assist with setting up procedural trays and maintaining sterile fields during minor in-office surgeries or treatments.
• Prepare patients for common dermatological procedures, such as biopsies and phototherapy.
