Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology and/or plastic surgery clinicians in Fairhope. You will greet and room patients, document intake, assist with in-office procedures, and scribe during visits.

This role may be registered and requires strong organizational and communication skills. Schedule: 36 hours per week in Fairhope with Mon–Thu 7:40 AM–4:30 PM and Fri 7:40 AM–2:00 PM.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office or clinical setting.
• Able to obtain CDT designation within the established timeframe.
• Maintains all required state certifications, licenses, and/or registrations.
• Willingness and ability to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational, computer, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, patients, and the public.
• Effective time management and confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Greet and room patients, collect and document vital signs, patient history, and reason for visit.
• Review medication list and support e-prescribing workflow.
• Assist with scribing and basic documentation in the EMR.
• Set up procedural trays and maintain sterile fields for minor in-office surgeries.
• Prepare patients for dermatological procedures (biopsies, phototherapy).
• Assist clinicians during procedures by handing instruments and documenting notes.
• Monitor patient comfort during procedures and provide reassurance.
